Confessions of a Carol Composer

Tuesday, 14 December 2021
18:30 - 20:00

Join John Rutter and Anna Lapwood for an hour’s talk with questions following – an online event, via Zoom.

A virtual event that is open to anyone who enjoys Christmas music wherever they live.

This special event will bring together the internationally known composer, John Rutter in conversation with Anna Lapwood, the Director of Music at Pembroke College, Cambridge.

John is associated mainly with choral music, which is performed around the world. However, he may be best known for his many, many carol compositions or arrangements which has led to his nickname of ‘Mr Christmas’.  Anna is an organist, conductor and broadcaster. She is a strong advocate of music education, but when Covid-19 stopped her work, she founded and conducted the online NHS Chorus-19, made up of over 1000 NHS staff from across the UK.
