It’s here! Team JR is very excited to announce our new, comprehensive and responsive website for John Rutter, the Cambridge Singers and Collegium Records. Now all of John’s published and recorded music can be found together in one convenient place. We’ve compiled the first full catalogue of John’s sheet music, complete with previews, audio samples, linked recordings and, for major works, programme notes. John’s albums with the Cambridge Singers are all here, and can be purchased in the Collegium Records Shop. And John’s Blog gives his personal take on various matters of interest, mostly musical.
Find out where John will be appearing in the Events section, with full details of performances, contact information and links to purchase tickets. You can follow John’s recent social media postings and enjoy musical memories, featured playlists and videos, all here on the site.
The ‘Useful information’ section is packed with helpful advice, including an explanation of the legal use of copyright music, guidance for organisers of ‘Come and Sing’ days, press resources, and facts about individual pieces for programme note writers.
So please have a good look around, from any device or desktop – we hope you enjoy the site and that you’ll find it useful. If you’d prefer to find our news and events in your email, just sign up to the newsletter and we’ll keep you up to date with all John’s doings.
Happy browsing!
John: I do hope this reaches you. When the Royal Wedding occurred in 2011, the thing I took away from it here in the USA was the first opening notes of “This Is The Day.” Immediately knew it was your creation and proceeded to haunt the internet for confirmation. Was thrilled to find it so. Glorious and appropriate in so many ways. Perhaps others did not notice but I did and was touched by all those choirboys and men singing their hearts out. You were not missed nor forgotten.
