John Rutter is one of the internationally best known and most popular composers of our time. Many of his compositions are standard choral works, and his choral works are performed all over the world. During the course weekend, the composer and conductor John Rutter will provide a comprehensive overview of the history of English choral music in addition to an intensive study of his music. In rehearsals and reading sessions, some of his best-known works will be worked on and new choral settings will be presented and tried out in practice. Some of the course results will be presented in a church service on Sunday.
The grand finale is “Come and Sing with John Rutter” on Sunday afternoon. Here the course participants join the audience in a large choir and sing under the direction of John Rutter in the library hall.
