First performance of ‘Lord, thou hast been our refuge’

On 7 March, 2008, Lord, thou has been our refuge was first performed. It was commissioned by the Worshipful Company of Barbers in celebration on their 700th anniversary and first performed at the United Guilds Service in St Paul’s in March 2008. This is an impressive and stately setting of verses from Psalm 90, culminating in a jubilant, maestoso final section.
