An opera for young people on the theme of the Gunpowder Plot of 1605. Part musical, part opera, the work is full of vivid music, frollicking choruses, and memorable solo songs. Any school, with even fairly limited musical and dramatic resources, could undertake a performance. The libretto is by David Grant.
