Five new Christmas carols by John Rutter are out today! Find I Sing of a Maiden wherever you stream your music online. The new festive pieces are:

  • I sing of a maiden
  • Joseph’s Carol
  • Christ our Emmanuel
  • Suzi’s Carol

John says: “For this new recording it was a pleasure to reunite with my own Cambridge Singers, joined by our good friends the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. We hope it will bring seasonal cheer to all those who have enjoyed our previous Christmas albums – and perhaps win some new friends too.”

I Sing of a Maiden was recorded in Summer 2021 at St John’s Smith Square in London by the Cambridge Singers and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by John Rutter. Scroll down to see behind the scenes at the recording session.

The sheet music for four out of five of the new carols has been published by Oxford University Press, and the fifth (Es ist ein’ Ros’ entsprungen) will be published in 2022. For more information about the published music, visit this page.
