How did you get on with the second part of this year’s Christmas Quiz? Did you find it more tricky than the first part? Did you get any of the connections right? Scroll down to find the answers…

  • Thing (from the line “The first thing that I will relate” in The truth sent from above by Ralph Vaughan Williams)

Verse beginnings in O come, all ye faithful:

  • O (verse 1: O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant!)
  • God (verse 2: God of God, Light of Light)

Add an “L” to make a word associated with Christmas (inspired by “Noel” or “no ‘L’”):

    I had three groups out of the four but couldn’t connect the ‘first’ set. Very frustrating! But good to see the answers!

    Ah, got three sets but not the first. I went with “Christmas” as a guess… doesn’t everyone have a Christmas “thing”? 😃
