John is travelling to Italy, later this month, to conduct a concert at the Trasimeno Music Festival, and then to Downside Abbey and Westcliff-on-Sea in the UK, for a couple of singing days. Tickets for all upcoming events are available on the Events page on this website, and further plans will be announced over the coming months.
Saturday 27 June: Perugia, Italy – 9pm
John is conducting a concert as part of the Trasimeno Music Festival in Perugia.
The programme includes music by Grieg, Debussy, Barber and Rutter.
Featuring John’s Suite for Strings, and Visions, with soloist Kerson Leong.

Friday 17 July : Come and Sing at the Downside Abbey Festival 7 – 9.30pm
Sacred Music for a Summer’s Evening – with John Rutter
A unique opportunity for all who love to sing (and can read a bit of music) to spend a summer’s evening in the glorious setting of Downside Abbey, as part of the Downside Abbey Festival. You will perform a selection of beautiful choral works, under the direction of John. Music by Byrd and Tallis, Stanford and Rachmaninov will feature alongside a selection of John’s own works. Copies of the music will be provided.
John leads one of his popular singing days, with a mixed programme of works by great masters of choral music, with music old and new, including some of John’s recent pieces. A fun afternoon of music for singers at all levels!
